Creating & making is what elevates our souls out of the wretchedness we witness and sometimes even live. When others validate what we create/make, it can be both things: very appreciated & joy bringing, but also somewhat unexpected. Not because we're being falsely modest, but because, as you said, we kinda "went away..." we were out of our bodies & we sometimes feel we didn't make our own babies.
