I’d love to go back to mid-2000s me and say, “Hey, you know that whole semantic markup/HTML5/CSS3 thing and how it’s going to fix web dev?” Then explain React generating divs and spans with inline styles versus Tailwind’s utility classes.

The five stages of writing a blog post (or doing anything):
1. Denial: this will be easy

After experimenting with about 4 different desktop environments, 5 different distros, and a half dozen different combos of Snap/Flatpak/native install of apps... I'm back on Fedora+Gnome and avoiding Snap and Flatpak wherever possible.
I'm surprised at all the weird bugs that popped up from Flatpak+Gnome+Wayland given that it's essentially the Fedora default way to do things.
Really happy that I got to pick up some discount sats last week :)
