It’s been rough lately, eh? Feels like everyone I’ve ever met has washed up on the beach. Time to find & shine your shoes!
We’ve been sold the idea that artistry is a mystery religion for the elite. In reality, it’s blue-collar work.
Below is a link to my newly released music. There are no platforms involved; it is hosted directly on the website. The vocals were originally recorded as scratch tracks in early 2024. While I intended to redo them, a move across the country and a period of unforeseeable chaos led me to realize that these versions are exactly what they were meant to be. This raw quality fits the concept perfectly. The music explores being stuck between the realms of life and death and how, given enough time, the line between the two begins to blur. If you view either with contempt, you risk blindly turning both places into Hell. This makes stagnation seem like the only option, as you’ve convinced yourself that limbo is the lesser of three evils. There, you may believe you have only experienced the death of a life unlived, presenting your greatest challenge of faith. Yet, it is also a miraculous gift: an opportunity to see who you really are and to finally meet yourself when there is no one else to know and nowhere left to hide. If you can greet yourself here with love despite the circumstances, then you can truly be free. It is a record about slowly finding God in the moments before returning to your hometown, and realizing you were never truly lost, just on your way to being found. image

This is the earliest version of Corporate Memphis I've seen. You can tell it's vintage because the characters aren't nearly as fat. image

"By day and night, fancy electronic dishes are trained on the heavens. They are listening for smudged echoes of the moment of creation. They are listening for the ghost of a chance. They may help us make sense of who we are and where we came from; and, as a compassionate side effect, teach us that nothing is ever lost.” image
