Every time a helicopter crash shows up in my feed, my first thought is always, "what a stupid fucking means of transportation."
(I don't get that same feeling with plane crashes though.)

In a hypothetical list of flags to burn, the American flag is actually quite low for me these days.

This could all be a nothingburger, but if Google actually does crack down on sideloaded apps, at that point why not jump to Apple? If forced into walled garden bullshit, at least Apple's is aesthetically pleasing and its hardware plays well together.

I don't know why the alternate cover version was cheaper than the standard release, but it all rips to FLAC the same. I like it a lot. I can't say how it compares to their other albums because I'm a sucker for recency bias.

If you put on your sci-fi enjoyer hat, and ask yourself the question "how does Elon's AI goonbot help him increase the birthrate", you really do end up in some weird places.
Okay, didn't realize there was a new Deftones album until now...

With every company doing awful, minimalist logos (see Cracker Barrel), Apple could do the funniest thing right now.

I will not live in the pod, I will not eat the bugs, I will not start the vlog.
In the future, artificial wombs will likely become commonplace. At the same time, rates of child abuse and neglect will probably go through the roof, and every publication out there will release reports "proving" that the artificial womb had nothing to do with it.
There's the perception (and it's probably true) that our search engines are getting shittier and shittier at returning decent results with SEO nonsense and paid content.
We're going to go back to curated lists and webrings before its all said and done. What's old is new again.
There has to be a hierarchy of least to most effeminate sandwiches to throw at a cop. Subway can't be the most effeminate, can it?
I remember my friend's dad turning his computer monitor on its side to "rotate" pictures when computers first came out.
Today, rather than juggle multiple desktops in the OS, I'd rather just buy another monitor. It's too much work.
Boomerism is a mindset that comes for all.
"You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become an agoraphobic shitlib cat lady"
I've read Dan Carlin's latest foray into the world of hysterics.
Look, we all went through covid. Short of Trump bulldozing DC, there's probably not much that would move the needle for me.
People complained endlessly about the second Jurassic Park movie when it was released (and still do because T-Rexes in cities, blasphemy!).
Well, now that we're getting Jurassic Slop every couple of years maybe people will start being more charitable.
Hear me out: a secure messaging application that's able to be reskinned to look and sound like AOL Instant Messenger (or MSN Messenger, I'm not picky)
Superman is a tragedy of sorts. A god comes to earth and and wants to live as a human. In a very human way, he falls in love with a woman believing she is a human, but actually she's a journalist.
Michael Pachter thinks GTA6 will drop with a $100 price tag (which probably means it will drop at $80), but either way, I figured it would be $100 as well. People are bent out of shape about this, but I dunno, just work on your backlog until the price drops.
