Amazing book:

Crypto (book) - Wikipedia

It’s from 2001 so “crypto” means cryptography not shitcoins. Incredible story of Diffie, Hellman, Merkle and discovering asymmetric cryptography and the fight to make encryption free speech. I’m only half way through but can’t put it down. Highly recommend!

100% I think this is the biggest opportunity for nostr: give people market of algorithms to choose how they browse the growing vast of content Timeline doesn’t work and status quo platforms don’t have the incentives to solve this (it goes against their business model). I really want to use Fountain but I swear every time I try it upsets me. I was just listening to a podcast, then paused and ate lunch. Then I tried to resume the episode, not even using the OS controls but actually opening the app and it’s all gone and the episode starts again.
