I have old Cat5 cable running throughout the house and connecting the outbuildings (including my office). I'm pleased to report that it is able to cope with my new fibre Internet, it runs pretty close to the 400Mb/s I am paying for. I might try cranking the service up to the full 1Gb/s and see what happens

I decided to be the bigger man, I phoned Gigaclear to setup my fibre Internet After educating the call centre guy that I can setup a router, he gave me the engineers code to activate the service and we are live 🎉 image
