I'm so old, I remember having to read raw emails in the terminal session, so you had to scan past about 20 lines of meta data to find out the reply was "yes" ๐Ÿ˜‚ View quoted note โ†’

ChatGPT has moved memory retrieval away from static memory files to wider context retrieval. Because of this, I have just initiated a Data export, which can take up to 7 days to compile. You can do the same: 1. Open ChatGPT โ†’ Settings. 2. Select Data controls. 3. Find Export data and click Export. 4. Select Confirm export. 5. Open the email from OpenAI and download your ZIP archive. What you'll receive: The archive includes your conversation history and other account data. Exports can contain a conversations.json file, which is particularly useful because it allows programmatic processing rather than manually copying conversations. I shall use my conversations as training data for building my own model, "Brian", my brain.

GM I've been to Bletchley Park many times, even before it was open to the public. My father went to school with one of the trust founders and so we used to get tours behind the scenes from the early 90's. Later on, I remember getting a personal tour of Colossus from Tony Sale while members of the public stood behind the glass watching me operate the machine. Later on, Bletchley park got a large grant from the lottery fund. They didn't share that with the onsite Computer Museum, because they had started arguing, and so the Computer Museum moved to a ramshackle building on a far part of the site. The problem for Bletchley park, however, was that the Computer Museum owned the 2 Colossus computer rebuilds, arguably the most prized exhibit. I'm sharing the video below, because it's the first time I fully understand the methods used to decrypt Enigma, despite my many visits there. If this interests you, find out about Tommy Flowers. He's largely unknown in the computer world, despite designing and building, arguably the first ever computer.

We often get pheasants in the garden, but we have just seen about 16 hanging around, at least 4 males and the rest females. image
