I like the people in Oklahoma. Friendliest I've encountered so far.

I'm torn. On one hand: What makes NOSTR, as it currently is, great is that it's niche and for the most part I am surrounded by the like-minded. As more people show up that will dilute over time. It will get harder to interact with people because I will get buried as follow lists get larger. Effectively I might never interact with some of you ever again. On the other: The protocol will help some people escape algo hell. That is also good. I might find other follows, interact with other people, etc.

Has anyone seen that episode of Bob's Burgers where Gene was giving himself a tug with a rote control helicopter?

One of the things I like about the Bitcoin and NOSTR developer community is, they aren't reinventing the wheel. The thing that I remember about my days in Ethereum is that everything had to be a blockchain, or have a token/NFT/smart contract. Whatever reinvention was being done it had to include those things. Not here. You're just using what we have and building on top of it when needed.

What is the most interesting idea in play about fees on Bitcoin? I know you should manage your UTXOs, I know there are L2s. But there are still going to be small stacks that could get trapped. What are some options going to be for them? Surely it isn't going to be shit out of luck for them. #asknostr

I should say "cult". that word gets thrown around a lot. Like the words "democracy" "freedom" or "fascist"

One of the most interesting aspects of learning late in life you grew up in a cult is you realize you know how cults work and can recognize them with ease.

Women who bitch about the men in their life are the worst. Overheard one just bitch about her son and how her daughter is basically much better. It would be one thing if I had not seen the son, but I had. I genuinely feel bad for kids who don't have supportive mothers. I am grateful that I was fortunate to have one, and sisters too, who were the same.

I wonder if there is a correlation between foot fetishism and the quality of footwear.

"The practical reason for freedom, then, is that freedom seems to be the only condition under which any kind of substantial moral fibre can be developed. Everything else has been tried, world without end." - Albert Jay Nock, in his essay: On Doing the Right Thing
