Not a “digital” privacy story.
When I was 16, I had a summer job at a (f’ing) bank.
My job was to process overdraft checks and enter overdraft charges.
I saw everybody’s purchases and overdrafts-my teachers, my neighbors, my coaches, and my mother and my mother again and again.
I was just a kid with all that information about my community’s adults and their financial transactions and “transgressions”.
I should not have had that information—no-one should.
