And part of Bukele’s deal with Trump to accept deportations included the high level MS-13 members on trial in the US that may have ratted him out as part of their testimony in court. But those court cases have been dropped in the US now that those individuals have been returned to El Salvador’s prisons.

This hasn’t been covered enough. People forget that Trump tore up a multi-lateral non-nuclear deal with Iran that Obama orchestrated in 2024, for petty political reasons.
