A director I worked with last year clued me into this Steven Soderbergh blog post about Raiders of the Lost Ark. My respect for Spielberg's visual storytelling tripled after viewing it. Soderbergh converted the movie to black and white and set it to a Trent Reznor soundtrack and... it's incredible. For any film nerds, it's a masterclass in shot blocking.

I’ve been struggling to write a thing for a few days… Finally I left the desk, went outside for some sun and air and walked over to a nearby coffee shop. I finished writing the damn thing before my coffee was ready. Change of scenery is a mostly reliable creative trigger. And writing on paper instead of on a computer always helps too.
