Not enough people question the presence of Jared Kushner in US international negotiations. Kushner is NOT an elected representative, does NOT hold an appointed position, and in fact has no position at all in the Trump administration. Meanwhile he’s cutting business deals in the background, all over the Middle East. It’s just an insane level of corruption.

I find John Carreyrou’s investigation into identifying Adam Back as Satoshi Nakamoto very convincing.
However, I feel terrible for Back, because whether or not he is truly Nakamoto, his life has now been turned upside down. He will be investigated by others and he will be targeted by malicious actors.
I also regret that John Carreyrou and everyone else that works at the New York Times have never put the same level of energy into understanding bitcoin as they have to “unmask” Satoshi Nakamoto. They have a 17 year track record of terrible reporting on bitcoin, always lumping it in with the rest of the crypto industry and framing flat out falsehoods as objective facts. Even in their reporting on Back, they demonstrate minimal to zero understanding of what makes bitcoin different than every other crypto currency.

Bitcoin at $109K doesn’t worry me.
Bitcoin at $99K wouldn’t worry me.
Bitcoin at $59K wouldn’t worry me.
I bought the top in 2021, rode it all the way down to $17K, where I bought more. I kept buying all the way up to where we are now. The more I learn, the more convicted I get. Bitcoin is the thing I am most optimistic about.
Sorry, I know there’s already lots of posts like this but I don’t actually post enough about Bitcoin.
If you’re fudding dips to $109, you should:
1. stop trading in and out of bitcoin
2. extend your time horizon
The last line of this John Oliver monologue is worth the buildup.
If you’d like to move beyond the 8th grade level of US history that 98% of Americans and all politicians are operating with, read these three books:
“A People’s History of the United States” by Howard Zinn
“Lakota America” by Pekka Hamalainen
“The Making of the Atomic Bomb” by Richard Rhodes

President is declaring war on my city. So I’m taking off work next week to fight in the streets.

New pet peeve:
One random parent or kids’ sports coach asks if anyone is going to miss a game on a text thread and instead of just letting the “no’s” reply, every single person texts “confirming we will be there”

With Trump and Tulsi Gabbard throwing down this smokescreen of “Obama treason” (based on nothing), I’m starting to believe Trump really is in the Epstein files.
The guy is in full panic/attack mode.
@MartyBent is such a brainwashed MAGA shill, listening to @RABBIT HOLE RECAP these days is pure comedy.
It turns out, every bitcoiner’s favorite authoritarian Nayib Bukele had a deal with MS-13 to quell violence and to secure him votes in the areas of El Salvador under their control.
And part of Bukele’s deal with Trump to accept deportations included the high level MS-13 members on trial in the US that may have ratted him out as part of their testimony in court.
But those court cases have been dropped in the US now that those individuals have been returned to El Salvador’s prisons.
This hasn’t been covered enough. People forget that Trump tore up a multi-lateral non-nuclear deal with Iran that Obama orchestrated in 2024, for petty political reasons.
