It would be great for newsletters to come either to my feed and @ me, so I don't miss it. Orrrrrr, just nostr DM me. At the moment nostr DMs aren't dead and useless yet. Like emails are. But, I guess that will happen.... right? Is there anything we can do? Can we do things with putting a Bitcoin "hashcash" fee on sending messages to Nostr DMs? Will there be blacklisted relays the way there are blacklisted... whatever 'zones' in IP addresses are called. Let's make it so we don't recreate the same system. (that story about that guy that ran his own email server for 40 years and had to stop because he was ALWAYS filtered out as spam.)

I know Nostr is 'separate from Bitcoin' and everything, but they are quite entangled. Zap functionality, yes, but paid relay monetization will prove to be pretty big. Credit Cards would be a real hassle, although accepting them through the appstore would be the route that makes sense. That is making the big assumption app stores won't ban clients/have specifications on a restricted Nostr experience that is deemed 'acceptable' for the masses. Maybe apps will have two versions as there might not be too much difference in code between the versions. Upcoming Bolt 12 may enable recurring payment functionality on Bitcoin, for monthly plans of unrestricted Nostr use. The future is orange and bright, as Bitcoin now has a way to communicate online, whether that means replacing Twitter, Facebook Marketplace/Craigslist, Github, even coordinating coinjoins. The future is indeed orange and bright.

The Global Feed on Amethyst is pretty Global without it being too badly spam-filled, some accounts I block, but not bad. Love the auto-translate. Last night, I saw Chinese Bitcoin Maxis talking about Cantillionaires! Most on Nostr are Asian, and most of them are not yet Bitcoiners. Nostr might change that for ALOT of people.
