The type of people who voted for Trump did so because they were told he would bridge that gap between the “rich” and “poor”. That he would heal this country from what’s causing so much “struggle”. He would rid DC of the corruption that continues to see the “American dream” slip farther and farther away from the patriotic, hard working American.
See, once you know that there IS suffering and struggle, it’s very easy to give “voice” to it. Very easy to “fight” for it. Very easy to derive power from it.
Very easy to profit from it…all you have to do is be willing to do what others are not. Be immoral. Be unethical. Stir fear.
