Jumbo raffle drum is finished. There is something extra satisfying about building big things.

I don't advertise this much but I also do replacement boat windsheilds. This was inherited by my customer from his late father. The existing windsheild was cracked and very sunfaded. I was able to use the original window as a template and mold. Made a gear storage divider for the local PD K9 vehicle . Turned out pretty nice.

Had to come up with a way of holding this acrylic together so I could solvent weld it. This was the solution. I made a series of vacuum pods with an adjustment screw to hold the peices together and powered them with a venturi pump. Worked like a charm and now my mind is racing with a thousand new ideas.

I work with one of the most #scarce resources known to man and I #save in the most scarce resource known to man. How can this not be a #winning #strategy?

Wood came from the yard of a buddys families vacation home, house is 170 years old, wood was drying for at least 50 years in the garage, it was there when his grandfather bought it, can't date the tree but the part that I got had 23 growth rings. Work surface out of light ambrosia maple. Almost 2 inches thick. I'm told this will end up with a reloader on it. Should be plenty stiff enough for the job.

#woodworking is one of the most #lowtimepreference #hobbies that one can have. I picked this up from my sister who is having a few trees cut down. It's a weeping cherry crotch burl. I will have to wait 2-5 years for this to air dry enough to use but it's gonna be some beautiful wood. I'll be very excitedly waiting and thinking of #projects to use this for. Any suggestions? It's about 18" cubed. My nephew has already requested a chess board and I intend to oblige but will obviously have much more left. #craftsman #inspiration

We have a job coming up that required an odd angle "v" cut to do a miter fold so i whipped up a sled for the #sawstop and grabbed 2 of these flip stops. I've gotta say, for the price these things are awesome. I'll let you guys know how they hold up after getting flipped a few thousand times. #fabrication #craftsman
