I ripped a piece of the cherry burl from my sister's yard on the bandsaw. I'm super excited to see where this thing leads me. I know a chess board but I haven't decided what else yet. #woodworking #craftsman #art #makestr image

Got asked to make an odd sized vent for a buddy who is helping his girl fix up her house. I could have done better matching the color but she was happy just blocking it off so her kids wouldnt be able to put stuff in it. No metal, all joined or glued. Note to self, invest in dado stack. #woodworking #craftsman #makestr

Wish me luck. I'm gonna try something new and use cherry inlays and bowties to stabalize this walnut slab instead of epoxy. It isn't for anyone so I can screw it up terribly and just have fun. #learning #practice #tradecraft #craftsman #makestr #woodworking

Jumbo raffle drum is finished. There is something extra satisfying about building big things.

I don't advertise this much but I also do replacement boat windsheilds. This was inherited by my customer from his late father. The existing windsheild was cracked and very sunfaded. I was able to use the original window as a template and mold. I hope the guy gets lots of sunny days on the lake and happy memories of his father. #boating #fabricator #maker #makestr #inheritance #legacy image

Had to come up with a way of holding this acrylic together so I could solvent weld it. This was the solution. I made a series of vacuum pods with an adjustment screw to hold the peices together and powered them with a venturi pump. Worked like a charm and now my mind is racing with a thousand new ideas.

Wood came from the yard of a buddys families vacation home, house is 170 years old, wood was drying for at least 50 years in the garage, it was there when his grandfather bought it, can't date the tree but the part that I got had 23 growth rings. This is going to his home as a little reminder of the coming weekends with family. #woodworking #craftsman #cuttingboard #history

A friend asked if I could make something for a silent auction. When good people ask you to help with good causes that is an automatic yes. Hope they go over well! #craftsman #whiskey #charity #woodworking

Looking for input and potentially a buyer for this project. The wood is ambrosia maple cookies. Top dimension is 22x46.5 Should it be a sit/stand desk or a coffee table? What color epoxy should I do? If you buy then your decisions override input from the crowd. #woodworking #furniture # craftsman image

Work surface out of light ambrosia maple. Almost 2 inches thick. I'm told this will end up with a reloader on it. Should be plenty stiff enough for the job.

#woodworking is one of the most #lowtimepreference #hobbies that one can have. I picked this up from my sister who is having a few trees cut down. It's a weeping cherry crotch burl. I will have to wait 2-5 years for this to air dry enough to use but it's gonna be some beautiful wood. I'll be very excitedly waiting and thinking of #projects to use this for. Any suggestions? It's about 18" cubed. My nephew has already requested a chess board and I intend to oblige but will obviously have much more left. #craftsman #inspiration
