It seems like what’s going to happen is a couple thousand people are going to fork off and effectively have no hash and no economic weight and have another shitcoin they claim is the real Bitcoin.

My grandma is nearing the end of her life and is having massive anxiety about death. How she’s going to die, the pain, what’s going to happen, being away from her life and family, being alone. She described her state of existence today as being in a constant state of panic. Incredibly sad and hard to hear. I’ve been hanging out with her a lot lately and notice that our conversations make her feel much better. I listen to her. I ask her questions and give my input. We talk philosophy and life. And after an hour or two her shallow breathing loosens up, she becomes more relaxed and jovial. I know her being alone is not good for her but I can’t figure out how to get her to agree to live in a more social setting. I am certain it would improve her mental and physical condition materially. But she absolutely refuses. So frustrating.

“When cut across the neck, a sound like wailing winter winds is heard, they say. I’d always hoped to cut someone like that someday; to hear that sound…. But to have it happen to my own neck, is, ridiculous.” image

After punishing yourself on the weight pile for an hour or two grab two 20 lb dumbbells and hit the stair stepper level 10 for 10 minutes. Fucking killed me and I loved every second of it. Felt like an absolute lion in the gym today.

Precious metals are subject to a 28% “collectibles” tax and dealer spreads are typically 10% on the buy *and* sell side. So a metals buyer is in the hole ≈48% by the time they sell their PMs. You also can’t buy anything directly with gold (not divisible enough), and silver is pretty worthless as MoE too. Haven’t met a single business or individual who accepts silver in trade for goods and services. Add in physical limitations (verification, storage difficulties and transfer through space) and PMs are completely untenable as an investment. Can’t believe they’re still viewed as anything other than decorative and conductors.

“The good thing about Vietnam was there was always some place to go. And there was always something to do.” 😂🤣🤣 Forest Gump rules. RIP Bubba.

Doctors and NPCs love to say coffee is a net dehydrator but I absolutely do not believe this. First, coffee is ≈99% water. Second, I’ve seen multiple people effectively drink zero plain-water daily and but drink a dozen cups of coffee for decades. They were both actually healthier than average.

I find an inherent pride and satisfaction in being self-employed and building nice stuff. I also see that people who are employed tend to have an inherent angst and shame. No derision, just an observation. And of course there always exceptions to generalizations.
