Tor nodes (Monero) have a very limited uptime/stability. Why is that? I know that onion addresses have sometimes problems to stay connected for long, but some sites manage exceptionally well with basically zero downtime. What is wrong with how Monero onion RPC nodes are configured so most of them are unreachable most of the time. It should be the default to connect to a Tor RPC.
Unpopular opinion. The "whitehat" should have kept it all and send Blockstream into insolvency. Instead he turned himself into a criminal paying 85% taxes while not rescuing Bitcoin from Blockstream. It's one if the dumbest moves in a long time or it's an inside hack/rug. We've seen this before. View quoted note →
My purchasing power only ever went up since I invested in Bitcoin and Monero (moving average). Meanwhile people around complain that everything always gets more expensive (moving average). They slowly become impoverished. When so many are so deeply invested in their indoctrinated belief system, how can we expect this to produce sane institutions? Osho said: The people are retarded.
What is the power of Monero? It unites Bitcoin, Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash proponents that made up 99% of Bitcoin OGs before the fracturing started. You even have people on the EF that claim they are all-in on Monero. If you want to see change faster than the US, EU, RUS and China criminal regimes can adapt to (like Bitcoin in its early days) you need to start BCA or ECA into Monero. We are at a dead end. More merchants simply won't accept "crypto" in a privacy preserving way. They'll play along. The only thing that can break that trendline is if a strong movemnet becomes visible and signals support for a world without built in tax surveillance. That's when you gain new merchants as they feel safer in a new trend/herd like everyone else.
Bcashers got that right, too. What most Bitcoiners didn't know back then is that Bitcoin got attacked from two sides and most people tend two pick sides of the perceived lesser evil. On one side Blockstream and ultra small blockers like Luke on the other side giga blockers like Craig Wrong and friends that used the controversy to make reasonable block size increases look like the most irresponsible thing to do and by that killing organic adoption as a MoE. Sad story. View quoted note →
This is unfortunately true. Especially after they kicked out Craig Wrong, another government operative who represented the unlimited blocksize movement that made it in acceptable for most people. View quoted note →
In other words. It's the most desperate pump in the history of cryptocurrency. It amounts to nothing but people calling out the Zionist handlers of this project. They will pump it even more because they themselves believe their fiat slave tokens still have value in the real world. Lol. View quoted note →
It might be that Thorchain (recently hacked for 10M USD) found a way to extort the global fiat cartel by postponing Monero DEX launch. As Serai will only go live with FCMP++ that means they can enrich themselves a little while longer. I'd assume that something like 100k USD is currently agreed upon.
Zcash fiat pump is a revelation (not an investment). They could pump it to 1M USD of worthless fiat tokens and still have no one using it. That happens when fiat dies. Monero/Bitcoin will always catch up to the reality. People get that it is about trust in the currency and not the fiat nominated price.
