When you do your basic Wim Hof breathing exercise, and feel comfortable with your practice already, it's well worth checking out what happens to your state of mind and body when you go into your 5th, 6th + ... round. You may find that your deep breathing becomes more natural, more easy. Wave after wave you just pump the oxygen in without effort. The retention time flies, thoughts become less, body sensations, pleasant or unpleasant, can be observed more calmly. And during the recovery breath hold the world around you is toned down, the focus now is naturally on your inner center. Especially after a deeper breathing session, I carry a heightened awareness of subtle body sensations with me throughout the day. I'm calm, I'm observant, it's priceless. Give it a go.
