So, what’s the deal with all the cold plunging? Well, here are a few of the striking benefits ❄️ β€’ It clears up your mind and makes you happier ... instantly. This is due to a strong release of the hormones noradrenaline (up to +500%) and dopamine (up to +250%). The colder the water the stronger this effect. β€’ It makes you more resistant to stress. Short-term cold exposure is a hormetic stressor. The teachings of Jiddu Krishnamurti had and still have a deep impact on my life. He caters to the logic of a Western mind to go into profound spiritual questions such as fear and freedom. One of his most renowned books is "The First and Last Freedom" and it's probably a big reason why I consider Nostr and Bitcoin so essential. I remember well when I returned from a Vipassana pilgrimage to India and Nepal. During that trip I also visited the Krishnamurti center in Varanasi where I got inspired to buy a few of his books. And so, for many days I sat in a small cafΓ© back in Moscow reading the books with tears of joy in my eyes. Because the way he's able to go to the root causes of the human dilemma of freedom & violence and portray a way out was just too beautiful! I inhaled his talks from the 1960s, 70s and 80s like I later did early podcasts about Bitcoin, day and night, completely captivated. A few years on I even got to translate his videos into German for the Krishnamurti Foundation in the UK. This way, I got an even deeper insight into his teachings, as I went over each of his words. This is a 6-part video series that I translated, from 1976 in Brockwood Park, UK. The gist of the talk is that in order for humanity to transform completely, a deep understanding of freedom is an absolute prerequisite! When you feel the time is right, meditate or do the Wim Hof breathing exercise before watching the series alone, in silence on the floor with your mind as open and curious as a child. On Primal desktop also only the first of the pictures is displayed + the caption is gone entirely. @Amethyst does this very elegantly by arranging all pictures and keeping the caption. @Vitor Pamplona Just an observation for whatever it's worth.
