This is the rhyme I'm sharing with friends I bring to #nostr
"Make sure to set up zaps
So folks can send you sats"

GM! This week in #envirionmental #science we are talking about pollution of the soil. Looking at microplastics, nanoplastics, and phthalates. #Lusaka #Zambia and I assume many cities in #Afrcica have plastic waste all over the place. It is not uncommon to see a herd of goats grazing on a mix of grass and plastic. I am curious what the long term impacts will be on the health of the people here. I am hoping my students will be part of the solution.
Somebody should make an opportunity cost extension but have it compare #nostr to #Meta centralized platforms. At the end of the week it will give you a report on how much of your attention you gave to #Meta and how much money they made off you vs. sats you might have received on nostr.
Anecdotally, it seems that many Christians derive their #environmental ethics from a pantheistic worship of nature or materialistic disregard for creation. There are many genuine attempts to form a #Biblical ethic, but #Christians need more of this. The correct ontology of God, humanity, material creation, and technology must be the core framework to work from.
Are there any #nostr projects out there that allow you to filter what you get from those you are following. For instance, there are some accounts always posting BTC price predictions which I don't find to be to valuable, and I would like filtered out. However, some of these same accounts post really useful insights. I'd like a personal algorithm to filter out the noise and summarize the signal. #asknostr
@GlobalTraces I hope your journey is going well. Ive missed seeing your photos for the last few days.
This week in #environmental #science we are talking about problems having to do with the degradation and pollution. These include erosion, organic matter depletion, compaction, destruction in biodiversity, acidity, salinity, and contamination.

In #environmental #science I require my students to engage their senses in observing nature. Each week they have to fill 2 pages of a notebook making observations on the natural world. This assignment is quite fun and easy to do with my 7 year old, but some of the university students struggle with it. It appears to me the curiosity and observation is trained out of many students as they progress through the school system here. This experience has definitely made me appreciate #homeschooling more.
This one was worth the listen. Possibly one of my favorite episodes from What Bitcoin Did and it's not even about bitcoin.

I use #coracle on desktop and #primal on phone. When I compare the numbers of followers I have on each the numbers are wildly different. Why is this? I am simply curious. #asknostr
