GA Nostr friends. Man, today flew by. Lu has been sick again, so hoping to get her in to see the vet and possibly have an ultrasound to figure out what is going on with her sad little tummy. I watched her throw up her entire breakfast this morning, and then she was so hungry a few hours later. Fingers crossed that she can keep some food down. Poor old girl doesn't have the calories spare. Friday I went to campus and picked up the dual monitors they ordered for me, so my grown up desk is now complete. Hubby helped me move my old extra wide monitor over to the other end of the desk for my personal use, and then got everything else set up for work on the left. Feels so nice to have room to spread out, although I'm still getting used to having multiple screens. Hope everyone is having a good day!

GM Nostr friends. I don't completely understand all the technical details of the coldcard hack, but my heart goes out to everyone who lost their funds. Quiet morning here. Hubby has been taking a muscle relaxer for his back before bed, so he's still under its influence and sleepy. Lu was very hyper first thing today, but now she's passed out in her bed on the couch next to me, snoring quietly while I drink my coffee and catch up on my feeds. Our twin nieces are having the family over for a belated birthday party this afternoon, and I am looking forward to seeing everyone. (But mostly their dogs.) Happy Saturday, all!

GM Nostr friends. Happy Monday. It's boiling hot here in Minnesota, and looks like it will stay like this all week. Stay cool, everybody. Another week is upon us. This weekend went so fast. It's Week 2 of my new job, so just trying to keep my head above water and learn some new things without completely overloading my brain. GM Nostr friends! I'm pumped today. Logged into my Bitaxe this morning and realized I was part of the Parasite mining pool when it hit a block last week. Whoo hoo! I can finally tell Hubby that the Bitaxe has paid for itself. (He's been crabbing that it was a waste of a purchase, and is an ongoing waste of electricity, even though I got the lowest-powered one I could afford at the time.) The new job has been going well so far. Today is the last day of my first week, and I'm starting to understand what it is my new team actually does, and where we fit within the larger organization. It's a lot to take in, and very different from the structure I'm used to, but I feel a bit more confident today than I did Monday. Also bought a new desk on Tuesday, so getting used to having more space. It also made me realize just how much desk junk I have. Ugh. Trying to pare it down, but then my stupid brain goes, "Oh, we might need that at some point." :blob_glare: Anyway, happy Friday all! May your coffee be the perfect temp today.

GM Nostr friends. After a hot weekend, our AC is finally fixed and chugging away to catch up with the hotbox that is our house currently. No idea how Europe does this on a regular basis. I was so hot and crabby trying to sleep the last two nights. Meanwhile, I'm on campus waiting to meet with my new team for my first day. I found a quiet little corner to sit and mentally practice my greetings so I don't come off as a weirdo. (At least initially.) Mental visualization is the only way I calm my anxiety in new situations.

GM Nostr friends. T-3 days until I'm done with my current role! Very excited to be moving on. Came back from the cruise with a bit of a sore throat and stuffy nose. Not great, but I've been taking my Zinc, so hopefully this is out of the way before I meet my new team in person on Monday. It is very good to be home. We've been so blessed to be able to take this trip, but I am always happy to get back to my regular routine. Have a good Wednesday, all.

When in Canada, you check out the local Costco. On a Saturday. Like an idiot. (The chicken and fries were actually really good!)

GM Nostr friends. Killing some time on the ship this morning before we disembark. Got the whole day to kill in Vancouver before we can check into our hotel this afternoon. Hope to find somewhere to go and hang out, as there are some rain clouds threatening, and we both have all our rain gear packed.

Good afternoon/evening Nostr friends! We're mostly through our Alaskan cruise. Today we're in Ketchican, our last port. Tomorrow is cruising all day, and Saturday morning we arrive back in Vancouver to disembark. One more day in Canada, then home. It's been a bit too much people time, but the views have been gorgeous. I even got to pet a black bear! ☺️

GA/GE Nostr friends. Today kinda got away from me with work stuff. We're now in the T minus countdown to leaving Friday for vacation, and then once I'm back, just four short days until I kiss this job goodbye and head for greener pastures. So many good things ahead. I'm so blessed and excited!
