Picked up one of these little radios from Ali express. Pretty good for the price. Flashed a custom firmware and added a voltage divider for the battery meter. 
Many prototypes, but finally a design I’m happy with.

Well… that project has hit a bit of a road block… none of my spare phones will power up using the mains adapter only… they need the battery connected. That means I can’t clip my logic probes to the SIM card slot… I’m going to have to get a sim card extension cable or, solder some thin wires to the sim slot… 🤔 View quoted note →
