Hiding behind a socially acceptable mask attracts the wrong people into your life. Advertise your weirdness and always tell the truth to attract those who are right for you and dissuade all who are not.

The growth of knowledge is inherently unpredictable. If we could predict it, we would already possess that knowledge, which is a contradiction. This makes the future of civilization fundamentally unknowable. Fortune tellers have always existed. Now, some of them are just disguised in the name of "science". But no method can predict the future growth of knowledge. As David Deutsch wrote, "Trying to know the unknowable leads inexorably to error and self-deception. Among other things, it creates a bias toward pessimism." This is because it's logically easier to theorize about potential problems than to formulate both the problems and their solutions. Hence, prophecy (trying to foretell a future that is going to be impacted by knowledge-creation) is biased toward pessimism.
