Been away from Nostr for a few days. Nice to be back.

Built this this afternoon. Needs some filler, sanding and a couple coats of stain. 2 matching Benches and maybe 2 small Benches for the ends from the scrap. Feel pretty good for our first build and only using minimal tools (skill saw, drill, screw gun and a pocket hole jig) Put about 4hrs into it and most of that was figuring out alternative leg design. Really wish I could have found untreated 4x4s, it would have made the legs so much easier. Excited to see it when it is all finished. Using an Espresso stain. #grownostr

Saw this at the grocery store this morning. Decisions were definitely made.

Why is it impossible to find a non pressure treated 4x4x8 around here. 2 local building supply companies and Lowes don't carry them. I am going to check sawmills next. The only non pressure treated I have found so far are cedar and they run $50/ea. I just need normal pine, I don't want pressure treated for inside the house. Plan B will be making my own out of 2x4s since I was going to join the 4x4s with a half lap joint and can achieve the same look and since they will be table legs they should be plenty strong.

GM Nostr. What is good today? Plowing through this bag of Ethiopian Light roast after a few bags of mediums and darker stuff. Going to start messing around with some "per cup" blends when this bag is done. I have some sample size bags of darks and mediums I will be blending in with a Light base to see if I can fine a sweet spot. Headed to town today to get supplies for the table my wife and I will be getting started on this weekend. Excited to do this project with her and even better if it turns out nice. Then heading out to the property to start tackling some projects Not sure which on the list it will be. At some point today I will need to pack up tools and bring them back to the RV. My wife and I have a project slated for this weekend that I am excited for. We are going to build a farmhouse table and Benches to go in our cabin, but also list it for sale until the cabin is built. If it sells we will just build another one. It has been since we left the homestead since we dove into something like this together and it will feel good to get back into it.
