Fun fact: Nicolaus Copernicus, born in Torun (Thorn) in Royal Prussia, Poland, not only revolutionized the model of the solar system, but also derived the quantity theory of money, one of the fundamental pillars of Bitcoin. image #bitcoin #stem #warsaw #poland #prussia #funfact #travel #photography

DJI removed the majority of its drone geofencing restrictions since 2025, should drones automatically enforce no-fly zones around airports considering recent drone sightings? Slippery slope to AI-controlled human behavior? image

YouTube to demonetize AI-generated "inauthentic" content, a bit ironic that the corporation behind yt that invented the AI transformer model is now fighting AI. How to make money with AI if the use of AI tools is increasingly demonetized? image (AI-generated illustration, copilot) #youtube #google #ai #policy #demonetization

Why FPV drone controllers are confusing for gamers: Gamepads: main movement (← ↑ ↓ →) on the left stick FPV drones: main movement (← ↑ ↓ → or pitch/roll) on the right stick Confusing! image #drones #fpv #controllers #xbox #ps5 #gaming

Current RC stick-based controllers for flying FPV drones are not very intuitive. Like playing a VR game with an Xbox controller instead of VR controllers. Similarly FPV drones need a new paradigm of controllers. Agree, disagree? image #drones #fpv #dji #vr

Possible mind-boggling explanation why Quantum Physics is so weird. Accept randomness, and everything makes sense. Thread 🧵 image 1 Quantum physics is mind-boggling because nature isn’t like Lego bricks — it’s fuzzy and non-deterministic. Small particles behave unpredictably, randomness is built into reality. Accept that, and suddenly, it all makes sense. 2 Particles constantly shift between phases of high randomness (superposition) and less randomness (decoherence). If the universe only applied a small amount of noise to each operation, the randomness would be too small, too much noise and the world would become unstable. 3 At its core, the universe calculates with probability distributions (wave functions) to add adaptive randomness. Without it, complex structures wouldn’t exist. The universe is playing dice with us 🎲 Mind-boggling. #quantumphysics #physics #quantum #science #stem #philosophy

How to solve Schrödinger's Cat paradox: Can a cat be dead and alive at the same time? No, it can't. Here is why 🧵 image 1 The paradox assumes that a decaying radioactive element is in superposition and that the superposition extends to the whole box including the cat, finally placing the cat in a dead and alive state. 2 However, what would prevent the cat from being in a superposition of two contrary states (dead and alive) is decoherence. 3 Interaction with the environment like the Giger counter would collapse the wavefunction (measurement) and nature would commit to a more concrete state. Paradox solved.

5 researchers claim that they have broken RSA 2048 encryption with D-Wave Quantum computers. In reality, they cheated. Here is how 🧵 image 1 They constructed a problem of weak primes that can be factorized easily by taking two identical primes and only flipping two bits (the least significant ones). 2 Secondly, they persue a hybrid approach where the relevant calculation is done by a classical computer, not quantum. 3 The Quantum Computer just solves the two flipped bits (bit 1 and 2) which is trivial, all the other 2046 bits have to be calculated by a classical computer. No Quantum Advantage whatsoever. Paper: #quantumcomputer #dwave #stem #research #quantum #quantumphysics #rsa #encryption

Why (useful) quantum computers probably don't exist: 1 Superimposed quanta don't scale, hundreds of interacting superimposed quanta would require larger internal state than there are atoms in the universe. Mind-boggling. Probably not real. 2 superposition is super fragile, nature tends to determine "random" outputs instead of keeping things in superposition for a long time. 3 Noise, quantum operations are fuzzy to begin with. It's more like nature implementing a very good random number generator than doing complex exponential calculations with superpositions. Proof me wrong!
