Got a new band coming into my studio in July recording some songs direct to tape. We gonna record everything live with my Fostex R8 and will overdub additional guitars and backing vocals later. Mixing will also be done analog. Really looking forward to it to improve my skills as a recording engineer. 💪

My fellow Ric Sattler released his new live album "Westerwald Blues Live", recorded and mixed as a hybrid live/studio production by me with my beloved Fostex 8-track tape machine. We recorded his gig as a duo with his guitarist live on tape. I added drums and bass tracks later in my studio. I think we captured a pretty organic sound.
