Site updated. Here's the change log since the last one: New: - Events Aggregator Server, a type of aggregate/caching server that helps collect and organize mod and blog posts from the (nostr) network and presents them to the user, providing more (immensely more) reliability in discovering and presenting mods and blog posts. If something goes wrong with this server, the site goes back to how it was before its inclusion. (Note: This isn't the censorship-resistant file hosting system, which will come later). Changes: - Adjusted how the mods and blogs are fetched and presented in various pages (there's now pagination for each of their pages, making navigation easier than before). - Minor adjustment to the design of the gallery of mod posts. - Images in a social post (in /feed) are now clustered depending on if they're next to each other. - Quote-repost chain won't render its preview with the second quote-repost (under the posts tab in the feed page). - Added media upload to the edit profile page. - The games page now has a filter to switch between popular ones (shows the most popular games first based on mods published to it) or latest ones (shows games based on the latest published mods). - Mods that are blocked by the user are now swapped with a box telling the user this is a blocked mod by them, with an option to see what that mod is. Fixes: - Most, if not all, mods can now be properly discovered, as soon as they're discovered, and presented (Because of that aggregate server implementation). - A lot more games, with better search term prioritization, are now properly showing when searching in the mod submission page - Visiting a social post directly is now visible without needing to login That Events Aggregator Server took a long time to get done, and it's a boring update, but it was definitely needed. And, as mentioned above, it's not an issue if it went down; the site would still function, just not in a stable state. The server just makes things more reliable in regard to user experience.

Site updated. New: - Feed page: View the latest mods and blogs (and social posts) of who you're following - Social posting: The ability to post 'short' posts - The 'Posts' tab in a user's profile now works, showcasing the latest social posts of the current user Changes: - Better search (shows more results with different keyword combos and number considerations) - Adjusted the design of categories - Adjusted iframe video embeds to resize to a 16:9 aspect ratio with full-width - Adjusted the visuals of loading elements Fixes: - User profile data properly shows correct data now - More cleanup of the games DB list, and new games added (for those who published mods under '(unlisted game)', edit your mod to add the correct game - Blog search results on /blog properly clear on revisiting the page It took longer than expected, but now you can see mods, blogs, & social posts of all the modders you follow (or other users, friends, family, or randoms if you choose to follow them). You, a creator or anyone else, can also post whatever you like, similar to any other social media platform, with the same censorship resistance the site provides everywhere else. Enjoy! On a side note: We'll be looking into having another failsafe step/system of uploaded images so that the chances of complete media censorship decrease. (This was posted using on DEG Mods ;3)

Site updated. New: - Advanced commenting system Changes: - Tipping popup design change for better clarity of the tip-split process Fixes: - User WoT and its filter now behave correctly - Zap/Tipping now works again - The "Above 18?" popup now triggers on the direct link of an NSFW post - Games that weren't there before, for mods in '(Unlisted Game)', are now available. - Games DB list clean-up and additions Regarding the commenting system (NIP-22 btw, and old types of comments are still visible but, for now, can't be replied to), you can now reply to people, and a popup displays replies to a main comment. Navigating down a chain of replies is handled by showing a 'reply depth' with a back button and a 'main post' button that goes back to the first/root comment. For the tip/zap design adjustment, for a better UX, it now shows the process of who you're tipping first when a tip-split is triggered. It also now showcases who you're tipping first by showing their profile pic under the generated QR image. Side note: Regarding some games, make sure you're typing it correctly to find the game. For example, searching for 'spider-man' is different than 'spiderman' or 'spider man'. (Looking into making this less of a headache) Also, for those who've been spreading the word of the site / what we're doing (in general and those getting some heat from it): Thank you.

Site updated. New: - 'Permissions & Details' section was added for mod posts where creators can easily adjust what permissions the public has with their mods Changes: - Added a new filter on the admin side to better manage hidden mods (in case there was a mistake). - Adjusted the download section in the mod post to always show the other downloads, and show the 'Additional Details' as a popup now. - Creators can now also add a title for each download, and add a single image for each download. Fixes: - Cleaned a chunk of the games list Note: For mod posts that were published before this update, the permissions section won't show unless creators edit their post and do a simple republish (if they're ok with the default selections, otherwise they can change it before republishing).

Site updated. New: 1. Categories system 2 "Are you above 18?" popup when changing the filter to see NSFW 4. Reset button to clear fields in mod or blog submission Changes: 1. Adjust the visual hover effect of a game card 2. Swapped the text editor in the mod and blog submission pages with a markdown one Regarding the categories system, you can have more than one in a mod post, and of varying depth, as well as custom ones. For the markdown text editor, it's a lot better than what we had before. Still has a few issues, but they'll eventually be fixed.

Another example of why DEG Mods will be on multiple different protocols/solutions (Tor, Nomen, Nostr nsite, etc) not just ICANN / their registrars. image

New update up. New: - Blog system implemented (relevant pages and sections updated). Changes: - (technical) nPub user addresses now lead to a user's profile if added through the URL, which would be auto-converted to an nProfile type address. - Reaction (heart/poop) numbers now show a loading indication with 3 dot animation, and you'd only be able to react once loading is finished. - There's now a spinning loader animation for the comments of a post to make sure, as a user, if there are comments or not - There's now a comment loader button that you can press to load newly discovered comments for a mod or blog post Fixes: - Fixed ordering of latest mods - Profile links in comments, specifically from clicking the name or user address, lead to the correct profile page now - Reaction buttons now appear immediately on the page load That's about it for now. There'll also be another update going live relatively soon.

It took longer to fix this issue than it should have, but searching for profiles on the site now works 🤘 Aside from that, the source filter & some filters now appear in the URL (easier to share specific pages with friends), and filters are temporarily saved locally (better UX). Note: if some of these aren't appearing or working for you, then you need to completely clear the site's cache (ctr/alt f5 won't be enough, you need to go into your browser settings, find the site, and clear that).

A new update went up. New: - User profile page (currently only showcasing published mods) Fixes: - That /#/ in the URL is now gone (all current links are still functional / redirect to a URL without the hashtag) Now you can see creators' mods🤘 You can navigate to a profile of a creator by clicking their profile picture, or what's next to it, area in the profile box (it'd be highlighted on mouse hover). Or, if you're logged in, click the user icon in the social/bottom navigation to go to your profile page. image

We've updated the site with a massive performance boost for loading in content (mods, profiles, search) with little to no errors now. Similar performance boost update is expected to go live by next week for publishing actions (publishing/editing mods, comments, reacts, etc). NDK is great! =3
