I'm about to paint something most people won't understand.
Four abstract paintings. No recognizable subject.
I know they probably won't sell.
But after painting clouds, flowers, and waves, I need to ask: what remains when you remove everything?
Art isn't always meant to be bought.
Sometimes it's just meant to be asked.

"But did you copy from a photo?"
Yes. And no.
Photography captures a moment. I paint what that moment makes me feel.
The photographer sees the light. I paint the silence inside that light.
It's not copying. It's translation.
From one language (photography) to another (painting).
And in that translation, something is lost. But something new is born.
That's why collaboration works: the photographer gives the image. I give my interpretation.
We both see the same thing. We both say it differently.

April 2022. My wife's portrait.
This painting changed my life.
Not because it was perfect. It wasn't.
But because it reminded me why I'd started painting, thirty years before.
Before that painting, I was a graphic designer who had forgotten he was an artist.
After that painting, I became myself again.
I don't know if my art has improved since then.
But I know it's become more true.
And truth is the only thing that matters.
