I paint in oil. Inspired by time, silence, and light. Each work is unique and for sale in Bitcoin and Monero. β†’ https://isolabellart.it.com Art gallery: https://gallery.isolabellart.it.com
I wanted to thank all the anonymous Monero donors and let them know that, with their donations, I have bought new canvases, oil paints and six months’ worth of VPN service. With the next donations, I will certainly renew my web domain on Mynymbox. πŸ™
image MAREA AL TRAMONTO (TIDE AT SUNSET) 25x30cm, oil on board The painting is nearing its final brushstrokes. All that's missing is the spark of life. Thanks to @PalmEyeRa πŸͺ¬ for kindly giving me permission to use one of her photos below. πŸ™πŸ«‚πŸŽ¨
Modern luxury is the ability to live in silence. No drama. No noise. No pretence of being someone you’re not. Just living a simple life that truly feels like your own. Reading good books. Listening to music. Admiring beautiful paintings. Going for walks. Watching classic films. Working on your purpose. Reflecting on life and everything else. Finding joy in ordinary things. Just that. That is peace.
This. Nostr’s greatest feature is also what makes it impossible to β€œown”: There are no kingdoms here. Only people. No algorithm to conquer. No audience to capture. No throne to sit on. Just keys, relays, ideas, chaos, jokes, friendships - and the freedom to leave whenever you want. That’s not a bug. That’s Nostr. Nostr has no kings because there is no kingdom. View quoted note β†’
LA PROMESSA DELLE NUVOLE (THE PROMISE OF CLOUDS) 25x30cm, oil on board Some paintings need time. Others seem to arrive almost by themselves. This one was one of those. I came across a photograph by chance, and something in it made me want to paint it. The first part of the painting came together surprisingly quickly. It’s still unfinished, but already feels like a good beginning. I don’t know exactly where this painting is going yet. And for once, I’m happy not to know. Proof-of-work in progress. Lately, I’ve been wondering if I’ve lost something in my painting. Those fresh, instinctive brushstrokes that used to come before thought. Maybe that’s not the point. Maybe my hand has simply learned, and now I have to learn not to control it so much. β€œLet go.” β€œBut what if I make a mistake?” β€œLet the mistake stay too.” Maybe freshness isn’t about going back, but about finding a new way to be instinctive.
image β€˜Fear’, by Khalil Gibran. It is said that before entering the sea, a river trembles with fear. It looks back upon the path it has travelled, from the peaks, the mountains, the long, winding road that passes through forests and villages, and sees before it an ocean so vast that entering it seems nothing less than having to disappear forever. But there is no other way. The river cannot turn back. No one can turn back. Turning back is impossible in life. The river must take the risk and flow into the ocean. It is only by flowing into the ocean that the fear will vanish, for only then will the river know that it is not a matter of disappearing into the ocean, but of becoming the ocean.

There’s a sort of sadness that creeps in when you know too much, when you see the world as it really is.
