It’s interesting to see that #STRC’s trading activity picks up shortly before the ex-dividend date (the 15th of the month). In my opinion, this creates false incentives by attempting to keep the price exactly at 100 on the ex-dividend date. Just like with the dirty price of a bond, accrued interest should be factored in. Then there would be a price jump on the ex-dividend date.
