About to receive my Italian passport (mothers side of the family) through ancestry. Contemplating quality of life variance from BC, Canada and Tuscany (outskirts of Florence/Siena). Western world in decline - Canada to be worst hit due to lack of long standing cultural identity/grounding tradition. Italy also in trouble with European membership, but likely to weather the storm better in a dark couple of decades maybe? Also Italian meats, cheeses and wines. Every life decision is a fork in the road. Blessed to have choices (eternally grateful) - but choices hard to make nonetheless

Sometimes living in Canada and wanting to buy a home purely for consumption (workshop for furniture business & garden space for girlfriends food production plans) feels out of reach. I couldn’t imagine being someone that doesn’t hold their wealth in an appreciating asset. Patience is all that’s needed from me, but the ever present ticking of time makes it difficult. Just want to raise a family with bare feet on soil and hands in the dirt. Shouldn’t be too much to ask. One day fellow plebs 🌊

Proof reading a friends book. Profound and immeasurable depth in his words. Important life knowledge intertwined with actionable principles for life improvement and personal monetary revolution.

Beauty over efficiency? Form over function? Contrasts between the two books. But both noble pursuits when executed with intention and immense presence. Pure pursuit of one inevitably inhibits the other. ☯️

Continue to fall deeper down the Ayn Rand/Objectivism rabbit hole. Unpopular opinion - preferred The Fountainhead to Atlas Shrugged. Think it just spoke to more as an artist/designer, saw more of myself in Roarks pursuit of beauty and the rejection of cultural norms. His existence was the sole fulfilment of individual purpose. Beautiful
