About to receive my Italian passport (mothers side of the family) through ancestry. Contemplating quality of life variance from BC, Canada and Tuscany (outskirts of Florence/Siena). Western world in decline - Canada to be worst hit due to lack of long standing cultural identity/grounding tradition. Italy also in trouble with European membership, but likely to weather the storm better in a dark couple of decades maybe? Also Italian meats, cheeses and wines. Every life decision is a fork in the road. Blessed to have choices (eternally grateful) - but choices hard to make nonetheless
