Would it be sensible or necessary for a user to have a NIP-05 identifier for each service they contribute to and/or consume? For example, should a user have an xyz@twitterequivalent, an xyz@youtubeequivalent, and an xyz@pintrestequivalent? Or is the idea that a single xyz@nostrplebs would carry over to each and every service? #asknostr

What’s the value proposition of being able to log into a client with someone else’s npub, particularly when it comes to DMs? Anyone can see who has been messaging one another, and while the contents of the message are encrypted a lot can be inferred by the cadence of the conversation. I can see it being useful in a government environment to provide much needed transparency, but what does the average Joe gain from that?
