If only there were something, perhaps some type of alternative store of value, that we could adopt to make these people less relevant to our everyday lives… View quoted note →

@Club Orange I saw you setup a way to pay multiple people concurrently. Is the wallet a form of ecash/cashu to make that possible?

My Nostr to X/Twitter ratio of time is at least 10:1. I know people say there's not enough Nostr users, but what they're not saying is how bad the quality of content is on X. How can anyone spend a reasonable time on that platform and not feel pissed at the world. It's quite simple really: Live on social media, continue to be pissed, but do nothing. Or Live on Nostr and make irrelevant and obsolete whomever or whatever is upsetting.

Someone should design some 'good robot us's' - use off the shelf parts from Ace/Home Depot/Lowe's, self hosted AI, etc. so we stand a chance against the bad robot us's tech companies are building to go after what they call Total Addressable Market, but what you know as your fucking livelihood. image

A good pod on basically what you can achieve for yourself when Bitcoin changes your time preference. It’s strange to say, but I’d lost around 70lbs in just half a year part because of the Bitcoin mind virus. Instead of thinking about food, I think about Bitcoin. Instead of reaching for the fridge, I reach for a book or podcast. And Bitcoin rewards for impulse control in ways nothing else can. View quoted note →

I just finished reading The Bullish Case for Bitcoin. The most notable passage for me had to do with early nation-state adoption likely correlated not to democracy but to dictatorships that can move quickly and aren't incentivized to maintain the status quo of the global order. In the U.S., we merely have oligarchies, so actual domestic adoption may be slower.
