Let's measure in #gold! First up [1] we can see that #bitcoin had a real increase in value compared to gold and still does. Second up [2] quite surprisingly the US dollar kept pretty stable in gold terms 2011-2020, but the long term is halving in value each 5 year that passes by. Personally I kind of like the idea of messuring bitcoins in grams of gold, and will look up this more often as it updates. For reference see link in the pictures. 1: 2:

Peer2Peer tools for local communites that want to use nostr, could do really well with some IRL npub verification. Say you could by QR code could verify other members of a nostr-private-group. Then you have the tools to 1. keep the local exclusivity you want, 2. ensure that members know or at least have met some other members, 3. have some for of bot/spam protection that relies on actual human contact.

#nostr people who are also engaged in some form of local communities may it be sports related, campus related, church, gardening, golf clubs etc. (Whatever that also has real actual local connection.) If you see this, get in touch. I'm working on how to incorporate nostr in local communities as notice boards and event sharing. And I want to bounce ideas and connect with others interested in this. Spread the word! I think local communites will be a great driving force of nostr adoption, as well as something much more healthier than facebook-groups for the communities served.

Darn it, I just lost a great draft in Amethyst because I left the app. Maybe it would be useful to have at least some local temp storage for note drafts :)

It's amazing how much a GUI layer adds to the usability and perception of software.
