Dropped oldest daughter off at college on Tuesday, much to my chagrin.
Talked to her yesterday. She said on the FIRST NIGHT (classes haven't even started yet), some girl in her suite was drunk and walking around bragging about being drunk and brought in two guys into their dorm (she heard their voices unexpectedly when leaving the bathroom). I told her that's incredibly dumb, irresponsible and unsafe (not just being drunk but inviting unknown dudes into the dorm). I said she needs to keep an eye on that one and if something similar happens again to report it.
I'm tempted to just go ahead and send an anon email to the dean or campus housing admin or something, threatening to pull out or litigation. Some type of moral shaming, maybe. Thoughts? Too soon?
Dropping my oldest off for her first year at college. Prayers appreciated.
