Have you ever wanted to take a firearms training course that accepts bitcoin? Well here you go.
Scott, the instructor, helped out at range day with @Bitcoin Veterans in Nashville.
After hanging out with us all weekend, he started accepting bitcoin at his business. Great people and great training, check them out.

Unplugging for a week was good for the soul

Here’s a cool layer 0 (human interaction) story I wanted to share from the halving party I attended.
So the party was at a local business, a place that sells amazing baked goods and coffee, it was booked as a private event after its normal business hours. It’s in a building resembling a residential home on the corner of the main street that goes through that town. It was a very nice day out so the front door that led out to the sidewalk along the main street had been propped open.
Some random guy walks up to grab a coffee thinking that the business is open as they’re setting up for the event. The organizer of the party (let’s call him John) is there and tells the guy sorry the business isn’t open, we just have a private event. As the random guy (we will call him bob) starts to turn around John says “wait…. Do you like bitcoin?” Bob said he doesn’t know anything about it but it sounds interesting.
Bob ends up hanging out for the entire halving party, he was set up with a LN wallet and a few of us sent him bitcoin AND he bought a cold card from an authorized reseller that had some of their inventory right there at the party.
Imagine being orange pilled by walking up to a HALVING party, witnessing the halving during the party and having amazing, knowledgable people there to set him up with LN wallets, send him bitcoin instantly AND even get him a device for cold storage. Bob went from “normie” life to having the tools to self custody the hardest money on earth in a matter of hours. Bob also happened to be a veteran and is now connected to the @Bitcoin Veterans network.
This is the power of layer 0.

Got some running in today. I’m getting to the point where I kind of like it instead of just hating myself. Work continues tomorrow.
Did you know that there is a list of Bitcoin meetups with known @Bitcoin Veterans that regularly attend?
If you’re a veteran and want to connect with other veterans and bitcoiners, check out on website and stop by one of these meetups if your local or passing through!

Failed this morning. Made up for it in the afternoon.

Bitcoin found me at an interesting time.
I am at a crossroads in my personal and professional life. I discovered Bitcoin and was so fascinated by it that I attempted to alter the trajectory I was on professionally (although I really didn't know what that was at the time) to focus on becoming a Bitcoin developer, despite having no background in computer science whatsoever.
I embarked on this path, learning how computers work and how to code. However, it felt like trying to force a square peg into a round hole. My fixation was on figuring out what I could do for Bitcoin, but this was the wrong approach. I have been building towards something unrelated to computer science; I just wasn't sure what it was and, to be honest, I still don't. But I know that if I try to force myself into something I wasn't made for, everything I've been building would be for nothing.
The question then became: what can Bitcoin do for me? How can I use my skills to continue building something using Bitcoin as a tool? Ultimately, Bitcoin will grow into every facet of our lives, so why not continue what I am doing and integrate Bitcoin into it? I would benefit, Bitcoin would benefit, and hopefully, everyone else will too.
I am going to start a proof of work project. This endeavor may evolve into something different from what I am envisioning right now, but I intend to share the building blocks with all of the amazing people here on #nostr. This will be a long-term plan. Many may not notice or care about what I am doing, but my goal is to look back and understand how I progressed from where I am now to where I aspire to be.
