The influencers, educators and other public figures with the #btc orange pilling powers, (whom I feel we are lucky to have on our side) regardless of what they're doing at home (not ma binness) they are the ones who decided to run point and be first going through that door.
The first one in, almost always catches a round or two.
Running point sucks, but sometimes they feel compelled to bc if they don't, it'll be a friend or someone with an unaligned agenda/incentive.
All that to say, I'm not one for throwing stones (usually).
But dang...dem memes are hilarious.
Peace, love, chill and do YOU. Unless attacked of course. Who someone shacks up with is not an attack on me.
#RandomThoughts on the point man of the day. Catching all sorts of rounds.

I have (presumably) an old episode of Joe Rogan playing in the background with Terrence Howard as the guest.
I listened to the first 5 minutes and thought to myself "is this dude crazy?"
So I switch over to Google search page and key in "is Terrance Howard......"
Was going to type in "crazy".
But Google suggested "a scientist".
I'm like WTF.
Is he crazy or is he scientist or am I simply ill informed on the Hollywood "A listers"?.
So yeah, I'm busy, so not going that rabbit hole today. But is dude a scientist, crazy or am I just uninformed?!

Just about every business is trying to monetize their service or product with a subscription model.
I understand why that's attractive to a business owner. But, I don't like it one bit. Especially when their using tricky web design tactics to get my consent.
Software licenses are an exception. Those prices go up every year like everything else, so they break it up into a "monthly subscription" service. I kinda get that.
I don't need it for my car wash and vacuum and I don't need it for my printer ink. #RantOver

Good morning and happy Thursday #Nostr fam
Thought I'd try something a little different this week. Instead of having mom's doc appts scattered throughout the week, I scheduled them all for one day. Rationale being that I'd be able to schedule in more work hours this way.
Well, today is the day with all the doc appts. I'll know whether it was a good/bad idea by 5pm. Stay tuned.

Pros/cons of pure breed #Dogstr
Pro - they are typically very good at one or two things.
Con - they are typically really good at ONLY one or two things.
At almost 4 y/o dogstr #2 has figured out how to open some doors. Took her long enough.

Maybe after we have separated the state from money, we can separate the state from science.
I think that would too be a good thing for mankind.

What if #Satoshi was "Evil"?!
Some of you may have already come to this understanding, but I can be a bit slow sometimes, so bare with me.
I think the reason why #noCoiners may choose to avoid engaging #Bitcoiners is bc when you have a deep enough understanding of #BTC , you also realize that #btc is connected to just about every realm. Bitcoin can be connected to everything that matters. Nocoiners don't want to hear about that stuff in every conversation. Hence the mantra "Bitcoin fixes this".
It's really a good thing that Satoshi was on the side of good when he published his white paper. Because he would have been quite the mind to tussle with as an adversary.

I work with a great team. They are millennials. I wish they'd get out of that XRP & Solana stuff and think more long term. One of them is a parent.

#DefendingContracts right now. Two glasses of Chopin already downed. Not ideal for a business call at 7pm.

Sister #1 stopped by after work to see Mom and see how my day went. I used that opp to share some old lady stories that took place at the house today and yesterday. Naturally all of Mom's friends are old ladies.
Man... old ladies can be spicy, direct and basically DGAF about etiquette. It's kind of hilarious.
Two of them stopped by the house to hang with mom for a bit this am. One said to the other "looks like your getting fat, are you depressed?!"
I was being a creep and listening on the security cam from the office while working. I literally had to bring it back up rewind to make sure I heard what I heard. ๐คฃ๐๐

Interesting milestone coming up. On 6/7 2023 I left my corporate job of 16 years with a fortune 50 company to make my side business my main business.
I took 3 months off and began to grind in September. Working for the most part 6 sometimes 7 days a week.
It mostly sucks. But my cousin asked me today, "if you can go back, would you make the same decision?". And my answer is yes. Wish I had done it when I was 40 instead of 50.

In some cultures, the kids become lawyers and doctors bc their parents raised them with that expectation. This is true for my family (parents are Haitian). My parents tried to place that expectation on me, so when I joined the Navy, feathers were ruffled to say the least.
Speaking to family members that followed the rules ,(now in their 40 & 50's) they feel trapped.
I was 45 when I got my JD. Parents had given up on me well before that.
Why did I do it?! I became an empty nester and had free time. So it wasn't costing much in terms of time/money.
Still haven't found the motivation to prepare and take the Bar.

When one of my friends graduated HS (in 1989), his dad gave him 3 options:
1 - $15k he can use to start a business
2 - $15k to travel the world
Or
3 - $15k to start college
$15k was about six months salary for his dad in 1989.
He opted for #2, which he was able to stretch for about 4 years.
He then returned home with a wife at which point he started his own business (general contracting).
After which he went to college (in his late 30's).
My friend is now 53 y/o and he made a similar offer to his son who graduated last week.
We're waiting to hear the decision.
I suspect the dollar number is a bit more then $15k considering his dad's income bracket, but the actual figure wasn't disclosed.
Which option would take coming out of HS?
Had a dream the other night.
It's December, the November elections are over, the presidential candidate is confirmed for a second term. And soon there after he implements executive order 6102 (on #BTC and #Gold).
And there was no public outcry, outrage or objections aired on legacy media. So basically very few Americans knew that it even happened let alone know what it means and what comes after such an order is given.
But, on #Nostr we were all in a state of outrage.
