My aunt (same age as mom but in slightly better shape) has decided to come stay with mom for a few weeks against her husband's wishes. Half of her kids are like yes, pops not needed for this one, we'll handle the arrangements. The other half are like, too risky for their mom to travel. Me: staying out of it. If she shows up....great. if she doesn't....I get that too. Either way, not answering any of those calls. The thought that Mom causing divorces and breaking up homes at her age makes me 🤣😂😅. She's laughing at the situation bc she's a bit of a rebel too.

My mother sacrificed her health to make sure my sisters and I had what we needed to thrive. One sister is a pretty bad @$$ chess player. The other can read people and their actions pretty well. And me?! still trying to figure me out. But my sisters trust me. And we're making do with what we have and I think we're doing OK. The Alzheimer's episode are more frequent with mom. Combined with damage in the left frontal lobe from the strokes, makes it hard sometimes. But Mom is happy, knows that she is loved even when she's cursing me out bc I don't know what she's trying to tell me. 😅😂🤣 And that's the message I conveyed to our text thread tonight. It's a fracking adventure if you choose to see it that way. #AgingParents #Alzheimers #CareGivers

Best part of my day is usually the end, where I get to cross off the items on the day's to do list that got done and get to write the next day's to do list. Have a plan or be a part of someone else's plan. Not wrong or right, just my philosophy.

The more I go down that #BTC rabbit hole, the more absurd the majority of what we call business news becomes to me. You have 2 consultants on Bl00mbirg bickering each other with opposing views. One says the economy will grind to zero and then contract in Q3 going into Q4. The other arguing current economic environment is the new norm, we have bottomed out and expects the economy to "begin" rallying into a new bull market in Q3 going into Q4. And both sides threw out some indexes and other economic KPI's from their pretty TPS reports that some junior analyst probably spent the prior night putting together for them. I'm really slow sometimes, but what occurred to me at the end of that segment was, do you know how many of these types of jobs we have in the U.S.?! The financial services sector used to be a tiny bit of our GDP and today it's a big bit of our GDP. I personally have nothing against anyone that has a job they like/love. But think about the real & meaningful value a significant portion of this sector brings to the average American household. The makeup person, the tailor, hair stylist, driver(s), tech support, A/V engineers and the list goes on. I used to pay attention to this stuff in a serious way. Now it's just pure background entertainment. So, what's my point, you ask?! Bro, if/when this Keynesian thing ever cracks/breaks, it's going to hurt households to different degrees, but we are all going to feel that pain. #RandomThoughts

Actually to be fare one of them might if it were 15 seconds long and on TikTok. SMH My pops has been preaching this exact thing since the 80's. I used to get embarrassed when he'd go on his rants. He is now 82 y/o quite healthy and working on a pretty big farm in the hills of Haiti. Comes to the U.S. periodically to check on family and buy supplies. Just saying.
