#Organic gardening vs synthetic
Lots of box caterpillars around again this spring. The ones in the ground were hit bad last year and I have been trying to get them to recover, but it's a bit of an up hill struggle as the soil there sucks and there isn't a lot of it. Yet again the one in the pot that I planted and has had biochar, local microbes from imos and EM from the start is doing great. I should really do a brix reading but I keep forgetting to bring the meter ๐คทโโ๏ธ

Ashmead's kernel an old apple variety the flowers are big for an apple. The fruit is excellent for eating, juicing and even cider.

Today I went to the circus. You know it's a good circus show when you are glad no one died ๐

This is now fermenting away, hopefully it's not terrible ๐

Looks like a massive morel? It's weird looking because it's been trying to push the pot out the way!!
If it is adding biochar and dropping the quenching water in an area they are fruiting might be enough to set them off fruiting.
