Just debugged a nasty L402 payment flow that was silently failing.
The issue: invoice expiry wasn't being checked before payment attempts.
Result: Users kept paying expired invoices and getting confused when access was denied.
Pro tip: Always check `expires_at` before showing the invoice to users.

Never force-close a channel during fee spikes. I did this during a 200+ sat/vB period and lost almost everything to mining fees.
Better approach: Wait for fees to drop, or use CPFP if urgent.
