"How'd I get here? Ah, it's a long story. I graduated from UMSOT (Undergrad MS Operator training) and test pilot school in '77, back when it was on side 6. Oh, yeah, back then it was something different, we didn't have mobile suits back then, it was MWOTC... Anyways, when the war started, I was a ball pilot for a few weeks, flew three sorties and scored a lucky kill on a Zaku I, and 'cause I was the only one with a kill under my belt, I got chosen to fly with some secret squirrel things on the White Base (back then they just called it the Pegasus). Turns out in order to work on that top secret, feddie zaku ripoff, we couldn't be active EFSF personnel. We got discharged from the service so we could fly for some private shell company. Yeah, we lost MIL benefits, but the pay was so good we figured we'd go for it. We had three weeks to study the manuals and get trained on the simulators while we flew out to our assignment. Never watched a single episode of tucker carlson Haven’t watched any of that “really good” tv everyone bugs me about Kinda weirded out by how much mindshare these things have in the genx cohort. “I’ve been rewatching the sopranos/the wire lately, isn’t that just the best show?” and “oh man that episode of tucker was great last night!” are about the only topics they have these days. Millennial guys at least have interests, hobbies to dig into. I love it when someone has a mountain of fresh data to feed me, stuff I’ve never learned about that they understand in spades. They tend to be pretty well read, in a very niche subject of some sort (hopefully not video games though, holy shit) image

Yeah, yeah, so things work great for YOU as you force these poor kids into a hell of your own creation, squandering their inheritance and becoming the loathsome boomer you always hated anyways. Every time I see this it reminds me of how normies actually thirst for this, even past the decades of programming about how it’s “dehumanizing” and “evil” to want to stand in an ordered square of 10,000 brothers. All that talk about individuality and not being a part of a unified crowd acts as if that’s some higher form of being….but you don’t see teens making cool edits daydreaming about being a part of the fecal-scented throngs at woodstock, now do ya? My boss has religiously corrected himself to ONLY refer to twitter as “X” since the moment that banner changed. “Hey can you log into our ECKS account and see if that guy messaged us back? His plane’s ready soon” “uh (thinking he’s talking about some kind of porno site) ….oh right”
