Watching the season finale of Foundation did make me think about my own work with @npub120zh...33r2 and the #fediverse Social media is here to stay, and is up there with the printing press in terms of technological innovations that advanced society It's easy to see the negatives of social media, but we're literally building the ideal version The work we are doing now could live on for hundreds or thousands of years, don't underestimate your impact Every voice counts, make your mark ❤️

Not to sound like a broken record, but you gotta watch out for suspicious instance growth Spam accounts can give the impression that platforms or servers are growing faster than they are, and if not handled, can indicate a lack of proper moderation A good rule of thumb is to use the MAU count, age of the instance, monthly post count and user count if you are in doubt Spam is beneficial to devs but not users 😉

It's looking like the @npub120zh...33r2 app will be released around the same time as Groups, but the app won't support Groups initially. I hope everyone agrees this is the best way forward, otherwise I can delay the app for another two months so it has Groups support, but I don't think that makes sense
