Stable Video Diffusion is very impressive. It made this: image From this: image Which came from a text prompt: "cat in a hat on a boat in a moat" #stablediffusion

This little free pantry is visible from my usual lunch spot. I watched two different people walk away empty-handed so I went to look at the contents: image There was also a note on the front asking for the return of the cooler, which had been taken, so that someone could donate more perishables.

Small but worthy improvement to my compost bins: put a board under the tarp cover. image This keeps the rain from pooling on top of the tarp. Tarps are not a good long term solution because they get torn on the wire edges of the bin. Metal roof scraps with heavy weights have been working well on my compost storage bins. #compost #permies #permaculture

Feels good to be a composter. image Just turned the 11th pile of the year for it's last hot phase. The 12th pile is starting to heat up too. #compost #permies #permaculture

@rev.hodl inspired me to post more rocket content. Here's a quick time-lapse of my rocket bench heating up and burning for about 2 hours. Butt-warming temperature takes about 15-20 minutes. image #permies #permaculture #rocketmassheater

Found some nice shaggy manes today. image These turn into black liquid after being picked or getting too old. The process is called deliquescence and helps the mushroom distribute spores. Both the fresh mushroom and liquid are edible. The liquid can also be used as ink.

Not sure what these are but I'm happy to have them growing out of a finished compost pile. image

It's a shame I have to turn this compost pile. Maybe they'll survive and produce some peas... image

When everything is configured correctly and connected correctly and it still doesn't work: try turning it off and on again.

My work in the fiat mines has never given me the same satisfaction that I get from turning a compost pile. #compost #permies #permaculture image

Had a new visitor to the garden yesterday. He came over to get attention every few minutes and otherwise just sat and chilled nearby while I touched plants. #catstr image
