The only way I don't get a free car is if Bitcoin crashes so low that things become apocalyptic in these streets OR Bitcoin doesnt have an average 13% CAGR (it probably wouldn't even be matching US inflation at this point). My general thesis on price has always been gradually up and right. I actually prefer the Power Law thinking to traditional fiat models because it seems more sustainable. Sustainability (natural growth) is more aligned with my general view of Bitcoin anyway. That's why I adopted it. The fiat world demands constant growth at all costs, which usually destroys any company that plays in it (stock market). But I'm also not a chart boy or financial system expert. Hmmm... I'm deviating from the four year cycle stuff lately. Mostly because things are different than years past and the data is still quite limited. I don't think it's wise to assume that Bitcoin is stuck in a predictable four year cycle when the broader world isn't. It could be that the early patterns won't hold exactly true as adoption grows to include more/different people and institutions. View quoted note →

Got a RAV4 for the wife and went ahead with the Bitcoin backed loan test. Will keep anyone interested updated on how it works out. It's not something I'd ever recommend doing for a substantial amount of sats, but it will be interesting to see how these interim products work out on the road to Bitcoin mass adoption.

Signing up for things after using #Lightning, #Bitcoin, and #Nostr pisses me off. Why do I need you to say I entered a valid email? Why do I need to give you any information at all? Nostr didn't need it. Neither did Lightning or Bitcoin. They just spun up and started working for me. I didn't need to beg or wait for anyone's approval.
