I have my frustrations, but Nostr is pretty good these days. I'm glad to be here and I think most of the remaining rough spots will be ironed out soon. I can't understand why Bitcoiners in particular are so resistant to it (the X bros). All I can think is that they're fucking fiat posers who don't actually value decentralization and freedom tech. That sounds harsh, but that's how I see it. I was attracted to Nostr in it's earlier years specifically because it aligned with the same values. I believe it'll be at least as impactful as Bitcoin, if not more so.

There's seemingly always an abundance of "justice system" resources when people defend themselves from the scumbags the system doesn't have the resources or desire to deal with.

It's always a pleasure seeing commies get so angry about getting their way. Like you're getting exactly what you asked for. Newsflash: It's never limited just to the people you hate. Useful idiots.

If Bob Lazar is bullshit, he is an absolute master of deception. He would deserve attention and advanced study on that point alone. There are many examples, but one that caught my attention was his insistence on correcting an error in the latest film that most people wouldn't even notice. He only saw one hole in one of the craft, not two. The more random interviews I watch the more I think he's either telling the truth or has a genius level ability to deceive. I can't help but notice how often he stops people to correct details that seem almost annoyingly minor. He's incredibly skeptical. He spends a lot of time clarifying the things he doesn't know. Liars often make things up to fill in gaps. I don't know for sure, but I've watched many hours of this guy and I don't get a bad feeling about him. The guy is a genius if he's lying.

Hosting critical repos on GitHub feels dumb.

Seems like Nostr could easily replace companies like Uber.

I'm also a bit bearish on the RAM tech. I get why, but given the current state of things, I'd prefer the ability to use RAM I already have. This is a tough issue. Tech has to move forward and hopefully this is temporary. But it still sucks. View quoted note →

The Framework 13 Pro is looking cool. I prefer 14inch, but I'm likely a minority there. A 16 Pro version would probably be more my speed since I often use my laptop like a desktop. Their touchpad is probably the last thing turning me off. The physical buttons on the ThinkPad changed me. I can't imagine going back. Again, I'm likely a minority here.
