Honestly it's an impressive attack. My position on hardware devices in general has radically shifted to "fuckem" territory. Something like SeedSigner is as close as I'll get to one anymore and it's not really the same thing depending on how you build it. I figure it's closer to general computing options if you don't order an entire kit or everything from a Bitcoin specific vendor. I ordered my parts from several vendors. I've on boarded several normies to Signal over the past several years and a pattern has emerged. They stop using Signal out of the blue and every time it's because they got a new phone and couldn't figure out some part of the reinstallation process. I don't know what's so difficult about it but that's where things are in my life.
