I just tried to login to my alby account to see my balance. When I created my alby account, I made a new gmail account because I didn’t want to use my main email. So when I tried to login to alby now, they sent a code to that Gmail for me to access to the alby. So I tried to login to that Gmail. I had the correct password, but Gmail also wanted to send a text message to “make sure it’s really me.” And I don’t really want my phone number associated with that email account.
So now I can’t login to my alby.
This is why I don’t understand how people consistently use pseudonyms (and some people have multiple!) Seems impossible to separate anything from your real identity.
It seems as though a lot of people use pseudonyms here, which I support, but I wonder if it makes it harder to connect to someone if you can’t put a name to a face? Maybe just requires some extra effort, or maybe it’s a different kind of connection? Just some thoughts, as I am hoping to make some friends here!
