The world boils & people think collecting tin cans will solve it. We are at +1.7c. We are headed for +6.5c. The bath tub is overflowing and we can't even be bothered to turn the tap off (AKA stop burning fossil fuel's) because "#climate stuff is annoying". We tried being nice, we tried .. image meeting people where they are. Too late. Too slow it's fucked. It's not going to cool down again. I used to think it was obvious stop #flying, #EV #heat pump but people are such short time preference sheep. Like the microbes in a dung heap, too busy chewing dung to notice the dungbheap caught fire. France, Spain, Italy, Canada on #fire, all adding to the CO2 feed back & that's just the start.

The #UK is suffering it second heat wave this year. Brits πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ cant cope with #heatwave s πŸ”₯but they're going to have to get used to it b/c #climate emergency (We (XR) warned you. You're welcome). It amazes me how many don't know the basics of keeping their house cool without #A/C (passively). For every square meter of glass 1kW of heat comes in so it's essential to stop the sun coming in. Baking foil cellotaped to the OUTSIDE of the windows takes 5 mins, or builders foil insulation (cheep thin stuff). Cover whole pains of glass as a temperature difference may crack the glass. Open windows, internal doors & loft at night when it's cooler outside than inside. Warm air from the house will rise out of the house drawing cool air in from the lower openings. Trap that cool in by shutting everything during the heat of the day. It should be possible to maintain <=25c indoors when it's 35c outside.
